Oura Sananikone presented some of his work, including his comics, toys, and other pieces. He makes mostly comic-style works with his distinctive style that carries through all of his works, even in 3D. I learned how he markets himself as an artist in Richmond and profits from his art. He goes out to meet people when he can to network, so when people need something from an artist, he is on their radar and can make that commission. He also does online marketing for himself through social media, and he has a Patreon where his patrons can pay monthly to get art directly from him. He did note that it is difficult for him to keep up with that, and sometimes he will turn out art late because he wants his Patrons to have newer pieces instead of art that has been sitting around for a while. I learned a lot from his talk, but I do wonder what experiences he has had trying to get his work displayed or giving other artist talks besides this one.
